Hostess Questions

Q: Can a friend co-host a party with me?
A: Sure! Co-hosting is a great way to get a larger group together to attend. And, if you have a larger group, you and your co-host can add up your hostess credits faster and bigger!

Q: What should I do about invitations?
A: We have an email e-vite you can send out and also postcards you may send in the mail. You will want to remind your guests often of the show coming up!

Q: Can I have food and drink at my party?
A: Of course! We suggest light appetizers and drinks. Keep in mind people are often so busy designing they don’t eat much.

Q: What should I expect at my show?
A: You and your friends should expect to have a good time! It will be creative, interactive and fun. They are low-pressure and we NEVER pressure sell.

Other items to be aware of:
• Reps accept only credit card payment. No cash or personal checks.
• Fabrics and styles are always changing so even if you have been to a show, there will be new fabrics and new styles!

Q: What do I receive for hosting the party?
A: Party hostesses receive credit dollars on their show based on how many orders are placed during the show. The hostess credit varies each season/month to check with us to see what the special is during your show. In addition, we give credit for people booking from your show.

Q: How often does Rebekah Scott Designs get new fabrics?
A: We typically get shipments with new fabrics every 3-4 weeks. We work hard to keep our fabrics fresh and varied throughout the season so that our customers have lots of variety.

Q: How long does a fabric stay in the inventory?
A: The length of time a fabric stays in our inventory varies depending upon its seasonality, popularity, and availability.

Q: Will the same fabrics I see on the website be available at the party?
A: The majority of the fabrics you see online will be available at the party. We will probably have some the website doesn’t have and vice versa. If there is a fabric online you are interested in, ask us to check on its availability for you.

Q: How are the bags shipped?
A: Rebekah Scott Designs uses US mail and Priority mail to ship all products. We will ship directly to you to ease your hostess running around!

Q: Will my friends and I get to see the bags at my party?
A: Yes! There are no catalogs or swatch books at our parties – you get the full experience by looking at the bags made up in their styles! We bring a sample of every available bag style. You’ll be able to try on the bags, feel the fabrics, and really be a part of the design process.

Q: I can’t make it to my friend’s party, but want to order a bag. Can I do that?
A: Yes, you can order online at www.shoprsd.com any time. Just use your friend’s name as your referral, and order within one week of her show for her to get full credit. . Email the host in addition your selections so she is aware as well of your order.

Q. How do I book a trunk show?
A: You can request a show date by emailing us at rebekahscottdesigns@yahoo,.com or calling us 605-757-6655

Q. Is there a cost to have a party?
A: No. You will only benefit from the fun and the hostess credits!

Q. What is the price range?
A: Accessories range from $28-$45 and handbags range from $65-$104

Does it cost more to customize?
A: No, it is the same price for a ready-made or a custom bag. Price is based on the style, not fabrics.

Q. Will we be able to purchase ready-made items at my party?
A: Yes, we will bring around 80-100 purses ready to buy and accompany your shoulder.

Q. When will my custom order be ready?
A: We usually have a three week turnaround, but if there is backordered fabric it may take longer.

Q. How often do you get new fabrics in?
A: We get shipments with new fabrics at least once per month.

Can I bring in my own fabric?
A: Unfortunately, we are unable to do those requests. Orders must come from our own tested fabrics.

Q. Do I pay for my custom bag at the party?
A: Yes. Full payment is due at time of order.

Q. Can I get my order rushed?
A: Sometimes, if we have the fabric in stock and we can make things work, we will try to make that happen for you! There is a rush fee of $10.

Q. Where are the bags made?
A: All Rebekah Scott Designs products are cut and sewn in Valley Springs SD. You can feel good about your purchase knowing it was made by an independent, woman-owned, USA based company.
