Rebekah Scott Designs has tried a completely new way of doing trunk shows, via Skype! We tried this last Saturday morning with host Paula Pierce from Rapid City. She was equipped with one suitcase full of 21 purses, 10 cosmetics, one Barbie and one Pixie. We also included plenty of marketing tools to help with also.
The show actually happened by mistake. I was going to be present and do the show in Rapid City when things fell through with travel, so we decided to still do the show by sending the bags and then being able to see and chat during the show via Skype.
Skype is a free service that allows people from all over the world to see eachother and chat on their computers. It is a wonderful service and we may be using it even more now!
The show presented a few kinks, but I am sure we can iron them out before the next show! All in all, the host Paula, received her great credit and I still got to meet her friends and family and tell everyone what I do and love for a living.
